Let’s get started with ten of Warren Buffett's tips for success!

Warren Buffett's Secrets for Success

1. Find your passion

Buffett said he was lucky because he found his passion during his childhood. He wants people to enjoy both work and life. Find something you’d want to do even if you don’t make the most money out of it, just like when he offered to work for Ben Graham for free when he was younger.

2. Hire well.

Find people who have intelligence, initiative, and integrity. The character of the person will be a great determiner of your success as a company. People who work with integrity will help the group to work together better and faster.

3. Pursuing education depends on the person

Not everyone will benefit greatly from their time spent in school; some will gain from advanced or college education, while others will only gain a little. There are many different jobs available today, and you could just enroll in classes that you are actually interested in, rather than ones that you have to take.

4. Don't care what others think

Go back and look at the facts when you hear someone not agreeing with what you say. Have emotional stability so you can have a clear head when making decisions or changes in the company.

5. There’s nothing like working for yourself

Warren Buffett has previously worked for a number of businesses and managers, but he recalls enjoying his time there because of the lessons he learned. Even though he received a meager salary at the time, these bosses encouraged him to pursue his interests. It is important that you are your own boss.

6. Invest in yourself.

The best investment is to invest yourself. No one can take it from you. Take care of your mind and body because you only have one to take with you until you go old.

7. Choose the people to emulate carefully.

Choose your heroes wisely. You won’t be able to choose your parents, but you can choose the other people who come along in your life. Be careful who you want to copy. This applies to selecting a partner in life too. Having a good partner in life will help you grow and be successful in your chosen path.

8. Read a lot.

Warren Buffett shares that he reads 5-6 hours a day. He reads a wide variety of media from newspapers, business reports, biographies, etc. Because he has been a voracious reader since he was young, his knack for identifying potential investment interests can go as quickly as 3 minutes. He has developed filters in his mind that has helped him decide whether or not he’s interested.

Keeping our curiosity as we get older keeps us aware of the world around us and keeps us from becoming irrelevant.

9. Be compassionate

Warren Buffett’s measure of success is not the amount of money one has in their bank account, but actually the amount of love one receives from people that matter to them.

He also believes that money should go back into the society. He says that philanthropy’s role is to help solve difficult problems in the society.

10. Start while you’re young

Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger both started working at the grocery when they were still young. None of them ended up doing the same business as both of them explored what they really want to do in life.

The most important part to find your passion in the beginning because you could do it always for the purpose of our life.
